Senior Engineer - Counter Equipment

Highly skilled and experienced Coffee Engineer with a strong mechanical background to lead a team of technicians in the maintenance and servicing of coffee machines and other related equipment. Proven track record of managing teams, organizing preventive maintenance schedules for chain clients, and maintaining spare parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of up to 10 service technicians, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs and emergency breakdown ensuring minimal downtime and optimal response time.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient ordering processes.
• Maintain detailed service records and prepare regular reports on service activities, team performance, and client feedback.
• Provide technical support and training to technicians on regular basis.
• Collaborate with operations and training department to ensure alignment on operations needs and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Job Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Manufacturer certifications (e.g., La Marzocco, WMF, Franke, Nuova Simonelli) are highly desirable.
• Basic electrical knowledge or certification.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in servicing coffee machines, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance planning and execution, especially for multi-location chain stores.
• Experience with spare parts inventory management and procurement.
• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Familiarity with other types of machinery (e.g. water dispensers, ovens, or food-related equipment) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work during odd hours and travel when required.
