Assistant - Human Resources

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update recruitment database / report, ensure submission on time.
  • Assist in planning and executing recruitment exercise for Northern Region.
  • Screen through application via social media (FB, job portal, whatapps..) and schedule interview session accordingly
  • Assist in coordinating and brief HR related matter for new joiners during orientation program
  • Check and ensure necessary data and particular being updated in in HRMS, ie: bank account no, staff meal ID registration.
  • Compile, verify and check document received from new joiners after orientation program.
  • Check sand ensure all documents are completed before submit / courier to HQ.
  • Responsible in managing administration task and HR related matter for Northern Office.
  • Perform reference check for new joiner (Supervisor, Asst Store Manager & Store Manager) when necessary
  • Able to perform ad hoc task as per assigned

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Exposure to labour law and employment equity regulations
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
