Assistant To Director (Operations Analytics & Kra Kpi Management)

The primary purpose of this position is to systematically monitor, analyze, and interpret key operational and financial KPIs on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, enabling EARLY identification of performance deviations, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

Through structured data analysis (use BI, of AI-enabled tools), this role will provide the Operations Director with clear, concise, and actionable executive summaries, pinpointing issues by store, sub-region (5–8 outlets), and region (30–60 outlets) to enable precise and timely management intervention.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. KRA/KPI Monitoring & Performance Analysis

* Conduct regularly scheduled tracking of critical operational and financial KPIs, including but not limited to:

* ADS and Same-Store Sales Growth (SSSG)

* Gross margin and shrinkage

* Labor cost and productivity metrics

* OSA and wastage

* New product, and seasonal item performance

* Build and maintain multi-layered performance views across store, sub-region, region, and national levels.

* Identify and flag:(leading)

* Abnormal variances and outliers

* Persistent negative trends (early warning signals)

* Structural or systemic issues across regions or formats

2. Executive Summary & Decision Support

* Prepare and deliver D/W/M executive summaries for the Director of Operations, clearly addressing:

* What indicators are off-track

* Where the issues are occurring (specific regions or stores)

* Data-supported probable root causes

* Recommended priority focus areas for management action

* Translate complex datasets into management-ready insights suitable for operational reviews, field follow-ups, and leadership discussions.

* Support deep-dive analyses for underperforming regions, districts, or strategic initiatives.

3. Financial & Profitability Lens

* Apply strong financial and P&L-oriented analysis to operational performance, including:

* Assessing the quality of sales growth (margin and cost structure)

* Highlighting trending down and Loss making stores.

4. AI, BI & Analytics Enablement

* Effectively utilize analytics and AI-enabled tools such as:

* Power BI

* Advanced Excel or equivalent modeling tools

* AI-assisted analytics, exception detection, and automated summarization

* Support the development and continuous enhancement of:

* Early-warning and exception reporting mechanisms

* Standardized analysis and reporting frameworks.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support

* Work closely with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely availability.

* Support preparation of materials for:

* Management and leadership meetings

* Respond with agility to ad-hoc analysis requests in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.


Job Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or related fields

* Experience in operations analytics, financial analysis, or business performance management

* Strong financial acumen with high numerical sensitivity and structured analytical thinking

* Proficiency in Excel and BI tools; able to independently develop analysis and management presentations

* Demonstrated ability to convert data into clear management insights and recommendations

* Preferably experience in multi-store retail, convenience stores, F&B chains, or large-scale consumer retail

* Able to travel outstation.
