Manager - It (Data Automation & Integreation)

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, coach, and mentor junior developers in daily development and support activities.
    • Review development deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
    • Monitor team workload, priorities, and project progress to ensure timely delivery.
  2. Business Requirements & Solution Design
    • Work closely with business users to understand operational requirements and enhancement requests.
    • Analyze business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications.
    • Recommend system enhancements and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Report Development & Data Management
    • Develop and maintain reports, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction programs.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of business information.
    • Support users in report validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  4. System Integration & Vendor Coordination
    • Monitor data integrations between ERP and related systems.
    • Coordinate with vendors to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and interface issues.
    • Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and successful processing of system integrations.
  5. Automation & Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reporting activities.
    • Develop and maintain automated jobs, scripts, and scheduled processes.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and system performance.
  6. Testing & Change Management
    • Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
    • Validate system enhancements and fixes prior to production deployment.
    • Ensure proper documentation, testing, and change management procedures are followed.
  7. User Support & Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the key liaison between business users, vendors, and the IT team.
    • Investigate and coordinate resolution of application-related issues.
    • Provide user guidance, training, and support for new system functionalities and processes.
  8. Project & Vendor Management
    • Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables with internal stakeholders and vendors.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation actions.
    • Provide regular project status updates and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  9. Governance & Documentation
    • Ensure system changes, user access requests, and development activities comply with IT policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for system enhancements, reports, interfaces, and operational processes.
    • Support audit, compliance, and governance requirements related to ERP systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP application development, business application support, or system implementation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading or mentoring technical team members.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, business applications, or enterprise solutions.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors and managing system enhancement projects.
  • Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, Finance, or FMCG environments is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query development.
  • Ability to develop and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
  • Understanding of system integration concepts, APIs, SFTP, and data interfaces.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Experience with reporting and data analysis tools.
  • Posses own transport and willing to work on site at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam
